I always appreciate friends who let me know about “light through the cracks” stories that they have discovered, as I then get the joy of sharing them on.

This is one that landed in my inbox, featuring a film that was only released last month.

It’s the story of a British woman, Stephanie, who experienced the pain of losing her mum as a teenager.

“The bottom of my world literally fell out,” she says.

In the period that followed, she had to deal with a lot of anger, especially towards God – until, on her own in her student room at university, it slowly dawned on her that God’s everlasting arms had been underneath her, holding her, throughout all that had happened.

Years later, married and with a family of her own, she received the same diagnosis that her mum had been given.

Her son, at the time, was the same age she had been when her mum had died.

Gripped by fear, how would she respond?

It will take a little over five minutes of your time to watch and find out.

To what extent are you able to testify to God’s everlasting arms being underneath you, holding you, throughout life’s ups and downs?

What would happen if, like Stephanie, you were to start proactively choosing to be thankful? How would this change your attitude towards your situation?
